Texas Ports Association 

The Texas Ports Association (TPA) is a member alliance of 21 maritime ports and industry affiliates, spanning the Gulf Coast and inland waterways. The TPA is committed to supporting and advancing public policy objectives for ports at all levels of government. Our mission is the development of Texas Ports through advocating for infrastructure projects, enhancing port efficiency, improving the movement of goods through intermodal systems, creating new jobs, attracting private investment, and enabling ports to strengthen the Texas economy.

 

Texas Ports generate more than $713 billion in economic activity for the state and account for 28% of Texas' GDP. TPA strives to enhance and foster maritime commerce through facilitating member collaboration and public agency communication to ensure the continued success of Texas Ports.

 

TPA'S PURPOSE

 

Serve as the statewide voice for Texas Ports

 

Promote professional standards and best practices in the management and administration of Texas Ports.

 

Monitor, evaluate, and advocate for the legislative priorities of Texas ports.

 

Provide a forum for Texas Ports to share information, discuss opportunities and propose or develop solutions.
